The coup attempt failed, all the putschists were detained, PM announced

The Prime Minister announced that the coup attempt initiated by the Tavil Communist Council on April 9 at 04:30 was officially unsuccessful on April 11 at 03:00 and all the putschists were detained.


The balance sheet of the 2-day coup attempt was heavy. 57 people, including 16 military coup soldiers, 9 coup polices, 11 soldiers, 7 police, 8 coup civilians and 6 anti-coup civilians, lost their lives in this coup attempt. At the same time, 1378 people were injured, including 316 putschist soldiers, 38 putschist police, 547 soldiers, 69 police, 117 coup plotters, and 291 anti-coup civilians.
