2022 presidential election ended after 13 hours of vote counting

The presidential and parliamentary elections held on 20 March 2022 ended after 13 hours of vote counting. The Ministry of Interior said that there were no adverse events during the election period.


Also, Tavil Election Board announced the official results. According to this:


Tavil Democratic People's Party candidate and incumbent president Hamza Samet Kaya was elected president for the second time with 29.5% of the votes.

Felix Harribal, the Tavil National Party candidate and former speaker of parliament, finished second with 27.9% of the vote.

In third place was the candidate of the Tavil Workers Party, Micheal Benito, with 14.2% of the vote.

In fourth place was the Tavil Liberal Party candidate, Sandy Portland, with 10.1% of the vote. Tavil Green Party candidate Sofia London took the fifth place with 8.2% of the vote.

Alexander Ha'aland, candidate of the Tavil Communist Party, took the sixth place with 5.3% of the votes.

In seventh place was April Queens, the Tavil First Party candidate with 2.9% of the vote.

The eighth and the last candidate to finish the election was independent candidate Pam Arial, who received 1.8% of the votes.


Along with the presidential election, parliamentary elections were also held. Three weeks before the election, the number of seats in parliament was reduced from 465 to 300. Tavil Election Board also announced which party won how many seats. According to this:


Tavil Democratic People's Party won 113 seats. It lost 101 seats compared to the previous election.

Tavil National Party won 97 seats. It won 41 seats compared to the previous election.

Tavil Workers Party won 45 seats.

Tavil Liberal Party won 24 seats.

Tavil Green Party won 14 seats.

Tavil Communist Party, received the heaviest blow in this election. The party that won 5 seats in this election lost 139 seats compared to the previous election.

Tavil First Party won 2 seats. It lost 36 seats compared to the previous election.


Also, The Tavil Parliament announced that it will hold a session on March 22 to elect the new prime minister.
